Teen Has a True Passion for Dance

Practicing 14 hours a week is the norm for this talented student.

Each week, Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

We want to hear about these amazing children and teens, and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to Editor Mark Maley.

Gabi, who plans to continue dancing throughout high school and college, is inspired by dancer Melanie Moore and choreographer Travis Wall from the TV series “So You Think You Can Dance

Her mom and sister also dance at Liberty, making dance a family passion.

Key to Awesomeness: Gabi is an assistant teacher in dance classes for younger students.

”I like helping teach the younger classes because I can connect with the students as a role model and gain experience in teaching,” she said.
