Sussex Residents Invited to Spring Fest Saturday

Residents are welcome to come out and enjoy a day of activities at Hamilton High School while honoring the community.

Sussex residents are invited to come out and enjoy Spring Fest Saturday at .

The daylong event will begin with a breakfast hosted by the high school’s National Honor Society from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The breakfast will feature food prepared by and the meal will be capped off with an award presentation at 9:45 a.m. to honor the village for being named to raise a child in Wisconsin by Businessweek Magazine.

Exhibits and activities will rub from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with entertainment provided by Mad Science, Pampered Chef, the University of Wisconsin Marching Band, Melt Fitness, , Accompany of Kids, , Fred Astaire Dance, J.K. Lee Black Belt Academy and the Trinity Irish Dancers.

In addition, the staff of Sussex Patch will be on hand to host a coloring event for children and hand out free goodies for their parents.

This year’s healthy living themed event with a focus on wellness screenings and health education, and provide informational booths and health screenings.

It will also provide a child identification fair, seed planting for children, tips for financial health, a blood drive and more.

The exhibits are free and open to the public, and tickets for the breakfast can be purchased from the event’s Website, www.springfestsussex.org. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the .
