Power Restored to Almost All Village Residents

Sussex residents see power outages after strong storms roll through the area Monday morning.

Almost all Sussex residents have had power restored Monday afternoon as We Energies crews have worked to fix thousands of outages across Waukesha County.

According to We Energies, as of 4 p.m., less than five customers in the village still had no power, which is down from 100 customers in the morning. Most of the outages were reported on Maple Avenue, south of Main Street.

Thousands of We Energies customers lost power Monday morning as severe storms rolled through southeastern Wisconsin causing severe damage in many communities.

Jeremy Smith, village administrator for Sussex, said the community was spared major damages from the storms.
