Residents Encouraged Support Organizations Through Calendar Purchases

Wisconsin Gives Back offers residents the opportunity to support more than 150 organizations from across the state.

Sussex residents are encouraged to go out and buy their 2012 calendars now in order to support area organizations and schools through the Wisconsin Gives Back program.

The program allows residents to purchase their calendars for next year for $15 and in exchange $9 of the transaction will go towards a participating group or charity of the buyer's choice.  More than 150 organizations are taking part in this year’s program.

The 2012 calendar, which was created by R.E.D. Airplane Aerials in Cedarburg, features aerial images of the state’s most popular tourist destinations, tourism directory and state road map.

"There's no doubt in my mind we'll be able to raise more than one million dollars for the groups that work so hard to make this state a great place to live," said Jake Knox, Executive Director of Wisconsin Gives Back in a press release. "We've created this event and this calendar for one reason - to have a positive impact on the programming of participating groups. There is absolutely no downside to this effort. When everyone in Wisconsin helps, everyone in Wisconsin wins."

Calendars can be purchased through the program through Dec. 18. For more information, visit the organization’s Website at www.wi-givesback.com.
