How to Get Rid of Your Old Christmas Tree in Sussex

So, the holidays are over and you're ready to toss the tree. Here are some details on how and when Christmas trees will be picked up in Sussex.

Christmas is over, and now it's time to take down the decorations and get rid of the tree (or at least start thinking about doing so).

If you're about ready to kick your tree to the curb, the Sussex Public Works Department will begin picking up the old trees on Wednesday and will continue to do so through Jan. 18.

The tree must have all decorations removed and needs to be placed at your curb. Do not put the tree in a plastic bag, the village says.
