Community Update

The local Boy Scout Troop 47 of Merton, WI (Waukesha County
Northeast of Hartland, WI) is hosting its third homeless shelter simulation in
downtown Merton at the Community Center, 6996 Main Street (HWY V V) on Saturday,
November 9, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m, until 5:00 pm. They will be
constructing cardboard box shelters to sleep overnight so they can raise
awareness for the homeless.

These Boy Scouts will be accepting donations of household
items such as toiletries, child and baby items (diapers, toys, etc) and pet
supplies to supplement the local food pantry that routinely provides to local
families with these needs. Donations can be dropped off at the community center
in Merton until 5:00 p.m. that Saturday evening.

The Senior Patrol Leader is Sam Vanevenhoven. The Scoutmaster
is Mr. Mark Brault.
