Karalewitz is Clear Choice for County Clerk

On August 14, Waukesha will choose its Republican candidate for County Clerk.  In this race, experience matters, and Kathy Karalewitz is the clear choice.

With 25 years of election experience, Karelewitz far outpaces her closest opponent, who has only 4 years experience.  As former Waukesha County Deputy Clerk, Karalewitz helped initiate uniform county election practices that worked
without a hitch.  Unfortunately, that system was dismantled after Karalewitz left.  Karalewitz has the experience to restore a system in which we can have confidence again.

Karalewitz also distinguished herself as Clerk for Menomonee Falls, the Town of Waukesha and the Town of Mukwonago.  She is endorsed by the leaders she worked under in those communities. Karelewitz is so well-respected that she is called upon regularly to train election clerks not only in Waukesha, but across the state.

Waukesha County had always been known for integrity in its elections.  Unfortunately, recent problems have shaken the confidence of many.  As DA, I've taken hundreds of calls and emails from people concerned about Waukesha County's elections.

It’s time to restore confidence with a County Clerk who will be job-ready on day one. That person is Kathy Karalewitz.

Please join me in voting for Karalewitz on August 14.

Kathy Kareelewicz has a high school degree and a history of job hopping. Her performance on the primary earlier this year by being the absolute last clerk with her numbers in and only vague excuses hardly shows her to be an exemplary clerk. True dedicated workers always do their very best regardless of anyone else that is part of the process. Not the top notch professional I'm looking for.

Looks like the party insiders are pushing Karalewitz without knowing facts. Karalewitz is the person that dismantled the uniformed county election machines when she decided to go off and use equipment the other municipalities in the county are using. Karalewitz uses election equipment from 15 years ago. Do we want to go backwards?
Vote Gina Kozlik, she has the experience to start day one in the office as she currently uses the new election equipment which is used Countywide.

On August 14th Waukesha County will elect a new candidte for County Clerk who will move forward to the General Election on November 6th. Let that candidate be Gina Kozlik. The County needs a Clerk who will maintain open communication with the County Board and County citizens, exhibit and an understanding of election law and processes, gather the support of Waukesha County Municipal Clerks, and has served the citizens of the City of Waukesha in the most important aspect of local government, by executing clean, effecient, and accurate elections. Gina will conduct the County Clerk's Office with the highest degree of professionalism, serve the residents with a high level of courtesy and openness, continue the tradition of supporing and training Waukesha County Municipal Clerks in all aspects of the election process. Your vote for Gina Kozlik on August 14th will bring a breath of fresh air to the Count Clek's Office.

All due respect to Mr. Schimel, perhaps this statement is driven mostly by the politics of association. Kathy Madden Clerk of Courts for Waukesha, is supporting her mothers' former deputy Kathy Karalewitz, so naturally Mr. Schimel is supporting Kathy Karalewitz as well.

This insider politics is normally fine when there is not a another, better choice, but in this case, as we see by all the previous comments there is, its Gina Kozlik.

You are all assuming the only thing a County Clerk needs to bring to the job is municipal (or short time county) clerk's office experience. If that were true, maybe the time has come for this position to not be an elected one. Both Kozlik and Karelewicz bring nothing but minimal if any management experience and virtually no experience working with other significant factions in a collaborative manner. The next Waukesha Counbty Clerk better have more leadership and top level experience outside a ckerk's office. Sincerely, you folks debating between Kozlik and Karelewicz seem to have tunnel vision. A total outsider with extensive professional experience heading various national level programs, top credentials, and 3 decades of top level public relations experience is what you should be looking for. That's Novack. You want the County Clerk to be just a clerk? Vote Kozlik or Karelewicz. It you want far more, vote Novack. .

People often spread rumors when backed into a corner, it is very clear with ALL of the EXPERIENCE Kathy Karalewitz has and the many well known and respected people backing her 100 that they would feel this way. I find it humorous as a young person that some adults still have it in them to act like they are back in high school !! And by the way for those incompetent people, the slogan is EXPERIENCE MATTERS , not a degree matters.....KARALEWITZ HAS THE MOST EXPERIENCE and all ran smoothly with her and Pat Madden in office, and will AGAIN run smoothly once she is elected!!

It's not just the degree - it's a virtual lack of any manageral expereince, professional level experience, and even less experience working with the public and the media. I'm sure she's a good office worker but that's so short of the types of skills and experience we need in an elected office - particularly with the current state-wide opinion on the professionalism of our election process.

You know what I would like to see are reasons such as the other candiates EXPERIENCE that makes them the CLEAR choice here. Sorry, I fail to see how the other candiates "degree" makes her better for the duties of the County Clerk. I beleive I saw something about paralegal. Sorry, but she is not applying for a position in Corporation Counsel. Her degree means nothing to me. As far as "job hopping," I do not view advancing yourself within a field as negative. Obviously Karalewitz is a VERY intelligent, qualified person. If she is not, then how does she get these positions, and why is she getting backing from the places she left? Let's start seeing what your candidate has to offer, rather than spending all of your time trying to get others to think in the same close minded way that you do. If your candidate is the best, then you don't need to be "digging up" issues that are your OPINION not fact. If she is the best, let's start seeing some facts about everything she has done, and quit bashing the others. The type of "backing" that you are doing with your candidate is in my opinion hurting more than helping. NEWS FLASH...We do not all agree with your opinion. FACTS PLEASE!!!

Really? Experience in 4 different municipalities in 5 years? I know the Republican Party of Waukesha is so intrenched with "their own", but this is a little ridiculous. Any legitimate business owner/HR professional would not hire a person with this type of job stability (or lack of). What will happen when she feels the least amount of pressure from the media? She will run.
