In honor of Veterans' Day, Willow Springs Learning Center held its own, personal celebration on Friday to honor relatives of the students in the 4-year-old kindergarten program.

Fathers, grandfathers and uncles all watched the presentation teaching the kids about Veterans' Day before mini American flags were handed out to the children. One by one, the veterans' names were announced, and the students would take their flag, give it to their relative and sit on his lap.

While a patriotic song was playing in the gymnasium, all the children stood and waved their flags above their heads. Then, all at once, the children chimed, "Thank you!" to the veterans.

It looks like you meant Willow Springs not Woodside. Regardless what school you are writing about, it is so wonderful when schools have a presentation honoring the Veteran's. Shows the children how much they have done for our country!

I know -- oops! I changed it as soon as someone let me know. Thanks for telling me, too. :)
And I agree. The 4-year-olds were SO adorable, and the vets really seemed to like the short presentation.
