No Surprises After Falls Woman Tells Police About Her Grow Operation
Falls woman goes to report her boyfriend to police, then decides to tell them she grows her own marijuana for medicinal use.
A Menomonee Falls woman is facing charges after she tried to report issues about her boyfriend, but also told police she had her own marijuana grow operation in her apartment.
Robin C. Niver, 41, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of manufacture and delivery of more than 200 grams of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, one count of possession of THC and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, she faces up to nearly seven years in prison and $11,500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Oct. 24, Niver went to the Menomonee Falls Police department to report some problems with her boyfriend and while there she told police she has a small marijuana grow in her apartment for personal use.
Police then went to her apartment in the W16700 block of Main Street, where they found seven small plants in her bedroom, along with a grow light and a bong. Niver said she got the plants for a doctor friend in California and was growing them so she could medicate for a medical condition.
She will make her initial appearance in court June 4.
