Art Attack Event, Girl Scouts Of Wisconsin Southeast
Be a Girl Scout event volunteer and share your passion, have fun, and positively impact girls' lives. Activities are already created and materials provided. Assist or lead a group of 15-20 girls’ grades 2-3. Let your creativity run wild on this artistic adventure. Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years old and must complete a brief application and background check. Events are Aug. 1, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. plus clean up time. Waukesha location.
Gentle Men, The Women's Center
The Waukesha Women's Center is in need of adult male volunteers to provide a warm, nurturing, non-sexist, non-violent role model for the children staying at the shelter and in childcare. Volunteers are needed during after-school and evenings hours to play games or help with homework. All volunteers must complete a 20-hour advocacy training offered quarterly and have a background check. Located in Waukesha.
Coordinate Lifesaving Rides for Cancer Patients, American Cancer Society, Pewaukee
Can you help make phone calls and send emails to area volunteer drivers to help schedule rides for cancer patients in your community? We are seeking a road to recovery volunteer coordinator for Waukesha County. This person helps to schedule ride requests for cancer patients. When rides are needed, the Coordinator calls or emails volunteer drivers to help schedule patient rides. Coordinators will need to have a personal computer with Internet and email and must be comfortable making phone calls to volunteer drivers in their area. Must be 21 years of age. This is a work from home opportunity.
Medical Clinic Assistant, St. Joseph's Medical Clinic
The Medical Assistant’s position offers opportunities for those with experience in a healthcare setting to exercise their skills or build new skills, depending on their interests and level of professional training. The volunteer works under the direction of, and with, the staff nurses. Hours are flexible, two to eight hours per week is desired. Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years old and must complete an application form and pass a background check. Qualified volunteers include Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, or individuals with a healthcare background. Located in Waukesha.
