Turn to Patch to Help Find Your Lost Pets

When a Sussex Patch reader's dog went missing two weeks ago, she turned to Patch to aid in the search.

About two weeks ago, Sussex resident Lisa Myatt’s 3-year-old chocolate lab Bella went missing while visiting near Maple Avenue Elementary School, so she turned to Patch to help find her lost companion.

Myatt posted on the announcements section of Sussex Patch that she was looking for her dog and had been passing out flyers across town to help locate the dog. She also posted a picture of Bella and a phone number so people could contact her with more information.

Patch then took her announcement and let more people know via social media. Within minutes, other residents were responding and sharing the post in order to help Myatt find her dog.

And by the next day, Myatt announced that Bella was home safe.

If one of your pets goes missing, let Sussex Patch help you as well. Go to the Announcements section under the News tab on our homepage and set up your own announcements and we can lend a hand in helping you locate your lost animal.

Well, actually, it wasn't Lisa's dog; she posted the information on behalf of the owner. And it made it back to its home by itself somehow after three days, which was fairly amazing. No one ever reported seeing it while it was missing. But we are still glad that the Patch is willing to accept these kinds of missing pet announcements.
