Fish fries are always popular in Wisconsin, and everyone has a favorite.
But there is no time for a fish fry like Lent, which began this week.
We'd like to know where your favorite spot is for a Friday night fish fry. Give us a suggestion in the comments section below, and we'll feature that spot in a poll on Monday.

Sussex Inn USED to have the best fish fry, until they stopped changing the oil in their deep fryer. French fries should NOT stick to your teeth! Anyone been there lately to see if it has improved?

Maybe try something other than their fries, but I know for a fact they change the oil.

Bellyup is a great place for a fishfry. The food is fantastic and homemade potatoe pancakes or homemade german potatoe salad.

I completely agree with this..............Bellyup serves a great variety of fish or sea food and Becki's homemade German Potato Salad is about as good as my mom's was. It is a small place but they are quick and take out is available too. I believe they are now serving fish fry's on Wednesday's during lent as well. Try it out and enjoy.

Rich's on old Fond Du Lac has the best fish fry in town. Great portions, friendly service. Can't miss with Wednesday or Friday fish fry.

Alright everyone, the nominations are in! Starting FIRST THING Monday morning, Patch will have an official poll where you decide who the winner is. The reason we had nominations for this round of Patch's "Best Of..." is because establishments other than restaurants could have outstanding fish fry's (e.g. Churches). I beg to differ about the Sussex Inn. I have been to both restaurants and tried both. Richs Restaurant in Menomonee Falls has by far the best fry! Their cod is served with my favorite potato pancakes. Not to mention their tap beers are only a $1.00

Sussex in has the best fish fry. They have 4 different fish to choose from Haddock, Perch, Blue Gil and Walleye. The beer batter is awesome. They have done so much with the atmosphere, it's looking good Dave!!!

Rich's is the best fish fry by far been going so long I forgot how long-lol,like over 20 years now.The owners tell tell me that they use Ice alantic cod which I heard is the best stuff you can buy ever see how much that stuff is in the grocery store like 10.00$ a pound wow!!.They also have perch,walleye and sometimes bluegill when in season but I always I have the regular fishfish it soooooo good know I mean excellant.The place can really get busy there on a friday so get there early they have been know to run out sometimes there and the place is really a nice place to enjoy a dinner with friends and family!!

RICH'S ON MENOMONEE FALLS HAS THE BEST FISH FRY I EVER HAD. NEVER DISAPPOINTED. THEY DO A SPECIAL JOB IN TOTAL ON IT. THEY HAVE A SPECIAL SEASONING ON FISH, THEIR COLE SLAW HAS A SECRET INGREDIENT TO DIE FOR, THEIR TARTAR SAUCE ALSO HAS CONSISTENTLY BEEN THE BEST. THE PORTION OF FISH IS EXTREMELY LARGE AND USUALLY HAVE TO TAKE SOME HOME. RICH'S IS MENOMONEE FALLS' IS THE BEST ALL AROUND RESTAURANT IN TOWN.
