Sussex Woman Threatens to Stab Husband, Complaint Says
A 45-year-old Sussex woman is charged with disorderly conduct-domestic abuse after drinking for days.
A 45-year-old Sussex woman is accused of telling her husband she was going to stab him while he was sleeping, before pulling down a shower curtain and throwing his clothes all over the closet, according to a criminal complaint.
The woman, who Sussex Patch is not naming to protect her husband’s identity, faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines if convicted of disorderly conduct-domestic abuse.
According to the criminal complaint:
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded to the N5900 block of Maple Avenue for a report of a domestic abuse on Jan. 14 after a man reported his wife was drinking, taking pills and appeared to be disconnected from reality.
The wife threatened to kill herself in the garage, the man said, and then slapped the man when he wouldn’t talk to her. She told her husband she was going to stab him while he was sleeping.
That’s when the woman fell in the bathroom, pulled down the shower curtain and then threw his clothes around the closet. She tried to leave, but she was intoxicated, so her husband got her to fall asleep, he told investigators.
The man told police he was at work when his wife started texting him, stating “What are you doing? I didn’t take this. I’m going to kill myself right now, so when you come home you’re going to come home to a dead (expletive) body.”
The woman was then taken to Waukesha County Health and Human Services’ Crisis Center. The man told police his wife drinks all day.
