Sussex Woman Accused of Stealing Pills From Her Employer
Suspect admits to taking Oxycodone, but says she threw the pills away because she felt bad.
A 20-year-old Sussex woman is facing charges after she allegedly stole prescription pills from her Hartland employer while at work.
Alissa M. Schultz was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of theft and one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription. If convicted, she faces up to 15 months in prison and $10,500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On July 6, Hartland police officers were called to Cambridge House of Hartland, 300 E. North Shore Drive, after they discovered someone broke into a locked medicine cart and stole 30 tablets of Oxycodone-Acetaminphen.
Schultz, who was an employee of the facility at the time, admitted to the theft, telling officers she took the tablets, but felt bad and threw the rest of them away later.
She will make her initial appearance in court Sept. 10.
