Sussex Week Ahead: Main Street Design Meeting and Touring 1938 Europe
This is a list of places to be and things to do this week in Sussex.
Hamilton School Board Meeting
After the recent election controversy, some residents might care to know there's a Hamilton School Board meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Hamilton High School's library. The School Board will be talking about multiple items on its agenda, including going over the first draft of the 2012-2013 district budget. The meeting is open to the public, and it's expected to only take 45 minutes, so attend and see what's happening in your district first-hand.
Touring 1938 Europe Unawares
"Touring 1938 Europe Unawares" is a book by Kathy Reed, a local author. Hear the true account of a single lady enjoying a nine-country tour of Pre-WWII Europe during the tense weeks leading up to the Munich Conference, when Hitler threatened to attack Czechoslovakia. The lady, as well as world leaders, was unaware of Hitler's real plans. A model of the SS Normandie will be displayed.
The program last about an hour, and will be held in the library's Quad/Graphics Room on Tuesday at 7 p.m. No registration is required. This and other free programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Pauline Haass Library. For more information, contact the library at 262-246-5180.
Main Street Reconstruction Meeting
The village will be holding a public meeting regarding the Main Street reconstruction project, and based on Patch comments, roundabouts are going to be the topic of choice. The meeting will be held at the Pauline Haass Public Library, with three sessions running between 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, one every hour.
Be sure to check out the mock-up designs the village presented at Spring Fest, and think of some questions and comments to share at the meeting.
Summer Day Camp Preview Day
The Sussex Community Center is giving residents a sneak peak at some of the activities planned for the 2012 Sussex summer Day Camps. Swing by the Community Center on Saturday between 10 - 11:30 a.m. to find out if anything interests you. Residents can also meet the counselors and get a discount if they attend and register on preview day.

The Main Street Reconstruction meeting is still on 4/18, correct? You didn't mention it in this article.
