Sussex Weather: Temperatures Drop, Showers Expected

With Wednesday morning's haze blanketing the county, could Sussex soon be in for some rain?

 

It looks like Sussex is starting to cool off, which is exciting news for a certain Sussex Patch editor who will be working at the Waukesha County Fair starting today.

The National Weather Service is reporting the village will see a high of 85 degrees today, a far cry from yesterday's almost 100-degree temperatures. And while the morning is looking rather gloomy, NWS says the sun will peek out this afternoon before possible thunderstorms tonight.

Today

  • Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tonight

  • A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday

  • A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night

  • Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday

  • Sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the morning.

Friday Night

  • Mostly clear, with a low around 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday

  • Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

Saturday Night

  • A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 mph.

  • Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 91.
