Sussex Teen Accused of Fleeing Police in Town of Lisbon
Police say a Sussex man, 18, outside of an underage drinking party in Town of Lisbon runs from a Waukesha County sheriff's deputy.
An 18-year-old Sussex man is accused of running from a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy outside of a Town of Lisbon home where an underage drinking party was taking place.
Andrew J. Goocher was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of obstructing an officer. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 11:36 p.m., a deputy was called for a noise complaint at a home where an underage drinking party was occurring in the W24700 block of Bark Road. When the deputy arrived, she waited for backup to get there and saw Goocher walking towards her.
The deputy identified herself and Goocher, who smelled of alcohol, turned around and began to walk away. The deputy took hold of Goocher and he told the deputy, “No, don’t (expletive) touch me,” then swung away, broke free and ran into a wooded area.
Other people inside the home identified Goocher as the person who ran and the deputy then went to his home and found him.
Goocher will make his initial appearance in court Dec. 17.
