Sussex Hamilton Defeats Franklin 31-21 In Weekend Gridiron Action
Junior Drew Patterson rushed for 245 yards or 32 carries with a touchdown as Knoebel adds two scores.
Sussex Hamilton got off to a good start for the season Friday with a 31-21 win over Franklin, as reported by the Sussex Sun.
Junior Drew Patterson rushed for 245 yards or 32 carries to lead the Chargers even with leg cramps that forced him to briefly leave the game, according to the paper.
“He is solid as a rock,” Hamilton coach John Damato told the Sussex Sun. “We lost him a little bit with his cramping, but I’m glad he came back. We rode his coat tails at the end there and iced it with a couple first downs.”
Patterson had a touchdown and Nick Knoebel had two scores for the Chargers, the paper said. Sussex Hamilton faces Marquette next week at Hart Park.
