12 years in prison: A Port Washington man who pleaded no contest to charges molesting a 5-year-old girl was sentenced Tuesday to 24 years in prison, 12 on each of two counts.
DV case includes loaded gun: Police say a Franklin man pointed a loaded gun at his wife in a dispute at their home earlier in December.
Bail set at $2,000 in standoff: A Waukesha man arrested following a four-hour standoff with police had bail set at $2,000, and he is suspected of threatening to shoot up his wife’s business in a call placed last week.
Officer injured: A dustup outside the Applebee’s at Mayfair Mall left an officer with a concussion and a newlywed 43-year-old facing charges with the potential of jail time.

I find the mistreatment of children for sexual purposes is, without a doubt, the most of heinous crimes. I know I am not alone in this belief.
There appears to be no adequate punishment for a disorder so distorted as sexual molestation of a little kid. There is no means of eradicating this from our society. It does not appear to be some manifestation of the society as it is today. This behavior is an ancient one. An ingrained, possibly a genetic, distortion of human behavior.
Science time maybe able to, if it is genetic, find the culprit gene. Problem with this type of abhorrent behavior, is we have to suffer a despicable event to find the person with this distorted behavior disorder.
No doubt one of the most insufferable of crimes. No defense against it, no personality profile to anticipate it. It has to happen, unfortunately, before we apprehend the perpetrator/Hyde Character..

Actually William there is a way to eradicate some child sexual abuse and that is to also ban the victim who in many cases becomes the perp on another unsuspecting child. I've read the Anastasi cast out both. Remember the case in Washington state where the mother stood up in court and shot the perp that violated her son. She went to prison.
Sexuality is not genetic it is learned behavior with targeted periods in development. There isn't any culprit gene. The Jews old writings say it's ok if the child is younger than age 8 developmentally. This seems to hold true as younger children most often develop socially normal sexual orientation.
Today, this raises big argument when it comes to homosexuality. Are homosexuals perverts? Many would say yes and logically we have to agree as Genetics has not found the gene so many hope to discover to rationalize unacceptable behaviors. Until that time I'm with the Washington mom. Blow the b@$#%@#$ away.

Vocal, I dont condone any child being violated but there are more studies out there that say a pedophile or homosexual is not bread hes born with the mind he has. alot of people are messed up. I would want to kill him if he touched my daughter also. but it is not learned behavior. just like being gay is not learned

It is a known fact that pedophiles have the highest recidivist rate. For the most part there is no rehabilitation other than putting them on some mind altering drugs and then they turn into who knows what. This is one of the reasons released offenders must register where they live but I for one don't believe that gives anyone living nearby with kids any comfort. Perhaps tatoo a red "P" on their forehead?

Not sure it has to do with being a Muslim but the US armed forces have reported that it is fairly common between men and boys in Afghanistan. They do not openly declare or talk about it, yet it is happening. Check it for yourself on the web, plenty of info on in.

meh... not all that impressed. Lot of anecdotal, usually from agenda driven sites, with very little documentation support. There are enough real issues to tackle without going down this road.

Stay tuned for what happens with Dan Koepke's sentencing on Jan. 24th.
Dan was the 17 year old Sussex kid (now 18) who was charged with 4 felony counts of child sexual assault, including 1 first degree charge, of a 5 year old. He plead 'no contest' to two of the charges and the attorneys are recommending 5-7 years prison as part of a plea deal. (NOT nearly enough!) And... he lives right next to Woodside elementary school.
There needs to be public pressure on judges to do the right thing and keep child sex offenders away from kids.

N8, Your comment isn't showing. There are stories, not studies. Research studies to become valid must be replicated yielding the same results. The pedophile and homosexual gene theory are not. Thus, they are stories that some grasp and the media reports to justify and moralize the behaviors. Sexuality is learned. Homosexuality is abnormal and unacceptable behavior in successful societies. WI is a hetro-sexual state in that we don't recognize or want same sex marriage. Chris Abel on the other hand and the Milw. Co. Board voted to grant benefits to same sex couples in a depression when the board is financial strapped raising our County Taxes. Did you call your supervisor on that one? I most certainly did. Parent's may not like it when their progeny comes home with a same sex partner but are caught in the quandary of assuming responsibility for their child's unacceptable, learned behavior and in most cases today accept rather than reject to guise their lack of parenting.
