Waukesha Patch was at the Waukesha County Airport on Friday where dozens of planes were landing for the annual air show. We had the chance to ride in a B-17 from World War II. Check out the story of a World War II pilot who hadn’t been in a B-17 plane since April 1945.

Thanks for covering this event. The B-17 never ceases to amaze after all of these years! It has such a distinct sound when it flies. A lot of dedicated people keep all of the planes flying and keep the shows happening. Great photos! Children love these shows, too.
