It’s a Dog-Eat-Human World
Wednesday, June 27 at 8:55 a.m.
Police were called to the N64W24100 block of Main Street after someone reported a serious dog bite injury. Police received the information and contacted the dog’s owner to make sure it had all its shots. The actual bite, however, is still under investigation. Police oddly can’t confirm if the dog even bit someone, as the owner denies it, so the county animal control is taking over the investigation.

A 19-year-old mother was arrested on the W233N5053 block of Teakwood Court after a neighbor called police with some disturbing observations. He was given citations for operating with prohibitive alcohol content, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and speeding.

A driver contacted police on Friday morning after noticing a man bent over a brick wall near Schroeder Implement Inc., a Sussex business near the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue. Police arrived to check it out, observed the man for a while but didn’t see him move. When they walked over to check on him, police found the obviously intoxicated man with his shorts and underwear around his thighs.
Police arrested the man for disorderly conduct when he wouldn’t cooperate. He is a 37-year-old Sussex man living on Michelle Lane.

Police cited two area youngsters for underage drinking on Tuesday in the early morning hours. A 19-year-old Menomonee Falls girl accompanied a 20-year-old man from Sussex when police discovered them near Clover Drive and Quail Run Lane.
July 4 at 3:12 a.m.
Police stopped a vehicle near the corner of Canyon Meadows Court and Good Hope Road early in the morning because the vehicle had a smashed window. According to the report, it appeared the occupants in the vehicle were under 17-years-old, meaning it was a curfew violation. However, it was also apparently evident that the teens had been drinking. The driver was thankfully sober. The four male teens from Hartford and Rubicon were cited for underage drinking and/or curfew violations.
