Looking for a Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

These places throughout the Milwaukee area are known for their Irish offerings on March 17. From corned beef and colcannon to Guinness on tap, to a street festival, there's something to satisfy everyone's Irish craving.

 

Patch asked, and you answered—just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

Port Washington-Saukville 
Between the Greens took first place in the Port Washington St. Patrick's Day Readers' Choice contest. 

North Shore (Shorewood, Fox Point-Bayside, Whitefish Bay)
Oakcrest Tavern is the St. Paddy's Day hot spot in the poll of North Shore-area Patch readers.

Wauwatosa 
Mo's Irish Pub gets the green ribbon for the best Wauwatosa spot to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Brookfield 
Prime Cigar Bar was voted by readers to be the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Brookfield, beating out three Irish pubs.   

Waukesha 
In a change of pace, coffee shop The Steaming Cup was named the best St. Patrick's Day place. There's no Guinness on tap, but its traditional Irish dinner (special corned beef sandwich, colcannon and Irish country soup) brings people in every March. 

Menomonee Falls and Sussex 
AJ O'Brady's, which hosts a huge St. Patrick's Day celebration, won this Readers' Choice competition.     

Muskego 
Danny Haskell's took top honors in Muskego, with loyal and early support edging it ahead of a Hales Corners establishment. 

Greenfield and Greendale 
Readers in these two communities voted Ray and Dot's Tap in Greendale the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. 

Oak CreekMulligans Irish Pub was the winner of the contest in Oak Creek, even though the place is just across the street.

Caledonia and Mount Pleasant 
Cabbage Heads in Caledonia won the contest in Racine County.

As if people need another day to celebrate? I wonder how many DUI's are recorded on this day?

Alcohol is not what it used to be to Wisconsin. I'm sure since I dried out there are a couple of stores that are hurting for revenue. As an added bonus I haven't been treated to 3 luke-warms and a cot since - and I don't miss the steel-bottomed bunk and lack of a pillow.

It's good to see the fitness facilities here - Razor Sharp is always packed. I see people on the bike trails, the trail along Pikes Creek is great.

The drinking culture in Wisconsin is dying out- and I'm glad for that.
