Hamilton High School Students Can Register For PSAT

Register until Oct. 1, test to be administered Oct. 17.

Hamilton High School students can register until Monday, Oct. 1 to take PSAT and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which will be given Saturday, Oct. 17.

The test allows sophomores and juniors to practice for taking the SAT, a standardized test used by some colleges and universities.

The PSAT test also serves as a way to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competition and "may be required for some scholarships," said the district on its Web site.

The test will be administered from 7:20 to 10:30 a.m. at the high school.

There is a $15 test fee. Students can register or learn more at the school's guidance department.
