The Hamilton Chargers play host to the Middleton Cardinals on Friday in their opening game of the WIAA playoffs. 

The Chargers will look to continue their dominant running game behind junior running back Drew Patterson, who has rushed for 1,498 yards during the regular season. Patterson has also scored 21 times during the campaign. 

The Cardinals (5-3) are led by running back Jevarious Rockmore, who has cracked the end zone 12 times during the regular season. Rockmore has also rushed for 883 yards this season. 

Hamilton comes into the game with a bad taste in their mouths after losing a heartbreaker in overtime last week to Brookfield. Middleton enters the game feeling good about themselves after cruising past Madison La Follette 35-19 last Friday.
